WE ARE DONE WITH FLIGHT SCHOOL!!!
Chad passed his checkride yesterday and he is VERY excited to be done with the program. He still has a few loose ends to tie up but the flying part is done for now. Our next challenge will be moving to moms. We are going to stay with them for a while, until we are sure what the Guard is going to do for Chad. What a year... what an amazing year :)
TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY BECAUSE WITHOUT HIM, WE WOULDN'T BE HERE. GOD IS GOOD.

GRADUATION IS NEAR!!!
I just had such an exciting moment. Chad, Charlie, and I just walked outside to the mailbox to send off the invitations for his graduation! There were so many days when we didn't think we would make it this far... and we are so so so grateful to God for carrying us through. Chad and I were talking about our time here in Columbus. So many times, we asked others who had been through this training... "What's it like?" and they would answer... "it's the best and worst year of your life"... something we didn't understand until now. We've faced so many challenges.. I've seen Chad at his lowest, and we've both truly learned what hard work really is. What a year... and it's coming to an end very soon. I'm so thankful for everyone who spent so much time praying to God on our behalf... through God's grace and mercy... we've grown and learned to trust in Him... in spite of how things "look."
This is a shot or two of the most fun day we ever had while here in Columbus. We invited our friends, Skip and Lauren, to a "country day".... full of horseback riding, steer roping, and shooting guns.

We're not up to much this week. Chad has his cross country this weekend. He'll be flying somewhere really close to Jessica in Texas.
Just found out Aprils is pregnant... due in March.
Just found out Jessica is pregnant with her second... due in March also.
Just found out Molly and Austin are engaged to their special others... Austin is to be married in March.
So March of 2011 is going to be a big month for us!
While Chad is out of town this weekend, I'm going to go home and help Mom clean out her house. I'm looking forward to spending some time with her :)
Oh, and hopefully I will be getting a new cell phone today or this week. I'm pretty sure I'm getting and iphone... and I'm pretty excited about it! I hope I enjoy it as much as I think I will :)

Well, Chad passed that check ride I was talking about in the last post. He's now getting close to his second Check Ride which is going to be very hard. Chad says it's like a 12 hour deal... Lots of stress. It's a "nav check". He is retaking a test today which I'm waiting to hear the results... we'll see! The T-1 program is going pretty smoothly.
Nothing too exciting going on in our life here in Columbus. He studies... I work... We get to spend a little time together here and there. We are happy and enjoying our time here at CAFB... but looking forward to the next phase in life.
Chad has his 10 year highschool reunion coming up this weekend. I've bought a new dress for the occasion, will post pics later.
I've got a beach trip coming up in a few weeks... an entire week at the beach. Chad doesn't get to go... but I'll try to have fun for the both of us. That's definitely something that took a little getting used to. Since the very beginning of our adventure with flight school, I've been going on every trip, every vacation, and most daily experiences by myself. It's been a good experience for me... and I sure do enjoy and cherish the time that I do get to spend with Chad.
We went to Huntsville for the 4th of July... to help April and Corey out with their new home. We got a lot of stuff done, and also had a lot of fun. Here's a pic from our trip. Take Care!

Well hello there :) Long time no see... I haven't posted in forever!!! but now we are in T-1's. Chad has his first Check Ride coming up. He has been doing well in the T-1 program, but they are about to amp things up a bit. So Chad will have to amp his game up a bit :)
I am still working at Armstrong McCall. I'm getting some great Manager experience, (though I am not the manager). I do enjoy working there, even though I complain a lot :)
Wish I had more time to chat but I've got a million things to do! This is the T-1!!! an awesome plane :)

2/19
Hi everybody, I hope I can start updating this a little more often. I'll try to do better!
Chad has been doing pretty well. He has been learning advanced aerobatic maneuvers. He did his pre-check ride earlier this week and they failed him so that he could get some more practice in before his Check Ride. They felt he wasn't ready. So he did his second pre-check ride and failed it also. He was pressed for time and didn't really prepare for the flights like he should have... and that resulted in two failed flights. On his third pre-check ride, he finally passed! and at this very moment he is doing his Check-Ride.
I will update as soon as I know the results.
I got that job I was interviewing for. It's an easy job, however, they are working me more hours than I hoped to work. I am in the middle of negotiating less hours. I will get that sorted out soon!
All is well, and we are moving forward :)

Hello! It's been a while but I do want to update.
Chad enjoyed his Christmas break. He did his "88" ride and passed! He did his solo and did great! Now he's getting close to his first Check Ride (which is very hard). He has a instrument SIM and a flight today.
I am on my 3rd interview for the same job and should know if I got it very soon. I've been knitting like crazy, I guess because I'm bored. I made a pair of socks and it was so exciting! Oh, my birthday was earlier this month and it was great :) The wives here on base surprised me with a cake and card. My family came up and ate Japanese with me. I got some great gifts! and I'm getting old :) Keep Chad in your prayers... He needs lots of them!
